Our valued client relationships include major industry players like Cameco, Orano, BHP, Nutrien, Bunge, and more.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role based in Saskatoon, SK, with the flexibility for some remote work. We are seeking a motivated and talented Intermediate Structural Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineers on various projects, assisting in structural analysis, design calculations, drafting, and project coordination. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to take their career to the next level in a dynamic and supportive environment.ResponsibilitiesLead the structural design and analysis of projects across various sectors, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.Develop innovative and cost-effective structural solutions that meet client objectives while considering sustainability and resilience principles.Conduct detailed structural calculations and simulations using advanced software tools, reviewing and validating results to ensure accuracy.Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and technical reports, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall building plans and resolve design conflicts.Participate in client meetings, presentations, and proposal development activities, demonstrating technical expertise and effective communication skills.Perform site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions, provide construction support, and address field issues as they arise.Stay updated with industry trends, advancements in structural engineering technology, and changes in building codes and regulations.Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, standards, and best practices within the structural engineering department.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural engineering consulting or related field.Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, ETABS, and Revit.Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to structural design and construction.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Leadership qualities with demonstrated experience in project management, client interaction, and team coordination.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or eligibility for licensure is preferred.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Key Knowledge & ExperienceMore than 4 years of experience is required for the position. Experience working in the consulting field, especially in the mining sector and, more specifically, potash mining, would be considered an asset.
