About the opportunity:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of industrial baking machinery. This position offers end-to-end involvement in projects, including onsite visits for installations, repairs, and maintenance, which may require international travel due to our global customer base.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Create 3D designs to meet customer requirements, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
- Contribute to preliminary design with conceptual ideas and principles.
- Develop final solutions for various equipment, adhering to agreed-upon design concepts.
- Ensure designs comply with safety standards.
- Facilitate standardization of parts and machines to reduce costs and product cycle times.
- Perform engineering calculations and develop general layouts of equipment.
- Review work progress and monitor completion by junior personnel.
- Resolve manufacturing problems and provide onsite support as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by ABI management.

- Creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and MS Office.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience in 3D parametric modeling and 2D drawing.
Qualifications:
- 5-8+ years of relevant experience.
- Engineering Technician degree or higher.
