About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the design and manufacturing of industrial baking machinery. This position offers end-to-end involvement in projects, including onsite visits for installations, repairs, and maintenance, which may require international travel due to our global customer base.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D designs to meet customer requirements, while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Contribute to preliminary design with conceptual ideas and principles.
  • Develop final solutions for various equipment, adhering to agreed-upon design concepts.
  • Ensure designs comply with safety standards.
  • Facilitate standardization of parts and machines to reduce costs and product cycle times.
  • Perform engineering calculations and develop general layouts of equipment.
  • Review work progress and monitor completion by junior personnel.
  • Resolve manufacturing problems and provide onsite support as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by ABI management.

  • Creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and MS Office.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience in 3D parametric modeling and 2D drawing.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Engineering Technician degree or higher.
