And precisely why we need an experienced INTERIOR DESIGNER who does the same. We are looking for a high performing, multi-skilled unicorn to join our studio. If you are looking for a firm where you can apply your unique gifts, hard earned experience, and insatiable drive, we want to hear from you. The RoleYou will be asked to participate as a Lead Interior Designer on an interesting and extensive range of projects inclusive of high-end hospitality, retail, single family and multi-family residential typologies to name a few. You will be brought into each project from the onset and will carry the projects through construction reviews and administration. You will be working using different programs including REVIT and CAD on medium to large scale projects with teams from both our Calgary and our Toronto office. You love to draw and know that the quality of your designs can only be realized with your intricate drafting input. You have been responsible for drafting your own designs and have acquired acute technical knowledge to deliver inspirational design that you know how to realize. You do not shy away from presenting your work to high level clients and are adept at the preparation of presentations, models and specifications for client meetings and meetings with relevant authorities. You enjoy interacting with people. Perhaps you’ve noticed, DMA+id is extremely metric and forthright – nearly to a fault. Our drive and our passion are a little “extra.” But if you’re the type of person who’s a little “extra” yourself, maybe we’re a perfect match.  What we expect  Delivery of inspirational conceptual designs that align to the project goals and client visionPreparation of presentation level drawings, models and presentations for client meetings and meetings with relevant authoritiesManagement of client meetings and meetings with relevant authorities to maintain a clear understanding of project goals and client visionSetting schedules and milestones for project progress and deliverablesDevelopment of Architectural Designs with technical knowledge of products, construction methodologies, and coordination of sub-discipline requirementsCode Reviews, Bylaw reviews and administration with AuthoritiesParticipation with and management of production teamsInvolvement with Construction Administration to direct site resourcesQualificationsA Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or the equivalent from a recognized Post Secondary InstitutionPrevious Interior Design Lead experience in Canada (min. 5 years)Extremely proficient in AutoCADExperience with coordination of submissions to AuthoritiesExperience with sub-consultant coordinationSome experience with REVIT and BIM software is an assetNCIDQ Certification is an assetYou will require a high aptitude in learning management software such as NEWFORMAIn case you didn’t knowDavignon Martin Architecture + Interior Design is an award winning, client focused studio practice.
