As a growing company with multiple locations across Ontario, they welcome innovation, entrepreneurial drive, ambition and a team-oriented individuals to be part of their team.Here’s what’s in it for you: Competitive wagesBonusComplete benefits packageWellness spending accountProfessional and career development opportunitiesHere’s what you’ll be doing in the role: Coordinate and complete design and drafting of engineering drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial site plans and subdivisions, in accordance with applicable municipal specifications and within fixed work-hour budgets.Proven ability to design complex storm and sanitary sewer systems, delineate drainage areas, design road and site grading, design water distribution networks, and prepare earth work quantities using Civil 3D software.Incorporate Low Impact Development techniques and hydrogeological requirements into the design.Assemble, assess and incorporate municipal design standards, utility layouts, topographic surveys and related reference material in preparing designs.Provide conceptual sketches of designs and information on designs.Prepare preliminary and detailed quantity take offs and cost estimates.Attend meetings as required with Clients, Municipal Agencies and other Consultants.Prepare proposals and related project budget forecasting, project management.Conduct occasional site inspections and interact with construction field staff and contractors.Here’s what you bring to the role:Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related Engineering discipline.Registered as a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.3 or more years of experience in a related role.Strong computer skills including MS Office suite, AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.At least 2 years’ working experience with municipal design requirements and processes.Site Plan and Subdivision design, cost estimating, specification preparation, and contract administration projects in Ontario.Design and construction of municipal infrastructure (roads, water distribution, sanitary sewer conveyance, storm drainage and intersection improvements) and rehabilitation projects in Ontario.Experience preparing Storm Water Management Reports for Site Plans and Subdivision Design applications.Solid knowledge of urban land planning process, Ontarios review agency requirements (Federal, Provincial, Municipal, and Conservation Authority), including the Environmental Assessment process.Experience with site inspections.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Highly organized with a proven ability to problem solve, prioritize, meet defined deadlines and measurables.Creative and innovative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.A collaborative, team-oriented, and proactive attitude.Valid Ontario driver’s license.
