The successful candidate will play a key role in the Financial Reporting function of the organization.This is an exciting time to become a part of our team as we are growing the responsibilities of the A&F function within the organization. The A&F team continue to contribute to the key strategic decision-making that guides the company, and we are seeking someone with the ambition to become a key leader within Fresh Tracks Canada.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standardsPrepare and post journal entries to ensure timely and accurately recorded financial transactionsPrepare and maintain General Ledger Account ReconciliationsSupport Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions, ensuring correct transaction recordings and following up on any outstanding balancesPerform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactionsSupport the Senior Accountant in areas such as internal controls, process optimization, cost control and tax filingsAssist in Preparing reports & analysis for the companys Leadership TeamProvide technical accounting guidance and general ledger business support to our non-financial stakeholders across the businessAssist in the implementation and optimization of accounting policies and proceduresUpdate & maintain interactive and insightful dashboards and reporting using Power BI and other visualization toolsProcessing of staff expense claimsPerform other special projects as neededREQUIREMENTSMotivated and resilient individual that can drive change within the organizationVancouver based candidate willing to work from downtown office 3 times per week3-5 years experience in a full cycle reportingProfessional accounting designation: Working towards CA, CGA, or CMA preferred but not essentialExperience with Microsoft BI preferred but not essentialSuperior attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritizeExcellent communication skills (verbal and written), with proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholdersExcellent relationship building skills for developing and keep effective working relationshipsAdvanced level in Excel and Word, and intermediate level in PowerPoint and other MS office programsAbility to work collaboratively and across disciplines for a common goalStrong time management skills and ability to handle multiple demands and competing prioritiesProven ability to aggregate and analyze information and data for effective problem solving, and utilizes sound judgementDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsVancouver based candidate willing to work from downtown office 3 times per weekREWARDSYou may be eligible to receive the following benefits, based on your contract type:3 weeks vacation (4 weeks after your first year)Extended health benefits packageApplauz RecognitionComprehensive employee assistance programPaid anniversary day off"Pawternity leave" days for your new furry family membersGreat working hoursFriendly and fun team environment with company celebrations and social eventsAccess to Canadian travel industry discountsStylish office location in Vancouver, located close to public transitDIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSIONWe are an equal opportunity workplace.
