Vancouver, BC

Multifamily & Commercial Interior Design Studio

Salary Range : $70k - $90k

The leadership team is very supportive, and mentorship and exposure for up-and-coming designers is of the utmost importance to the team.

Summary of Position:

Our client is looking for a full-time Interior Design CAD Technologist to join their team. This person is the backbone of the design team and has the technical skills and ability to relay design intent through working drawings. This position will help shape my client's multi-residential projects from concept design to construction.

Role Responsibilities:

Uses technical skills to translate preliminary drawings, renderings and sketches into full working drawings for IFC, ensuring that design vision is consistent

Good knowledge of the BC Building Code and Bylaws

Capable of handling research tasks, product pricing and data gathering

Ability to understand various consultant documents

Works directly with senior designersand assistsin aligning drawing specs

Has a hand in coordinating with consultants & assisting with construction administration including RFIs and shop drawing reviews

Assist in production of client presentations

Open and collaborative attitude, with the willingness to develop one's self technically & professionally

Qualifications:

4+ years local experience, post graduation

Bachelor, Master’s Degree in Architecture, or Diploma in Architectural Technology

Familiarity with the BC Building code in relation to Interior Design

Strong technical knowledge and ability to coordinate design information from consultants

Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is an asset)

Ability to handle multiple projects at once, while efficiently managing time through prioritization

Detail oriented, with the ability to clearly express design details verbally and through freehand sketching

Collaborative & creative mindset with theability to work well in teams and individually

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to communicate clearly with internal teams, external clients, consultants, and suppliers
