We are seeking an Inside Sales Associate to join our team! You will resolve customer questions and offer solutions to drive company revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support for customers regarding specifications of Brook Crompton products, and trouble shoot applications as needed
- Understand the customers’ business and determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
- Enter and maintain purchase orders, customer orders, procurement match and trade discounts as needed
- Maintain various records and files including rebate files, stock transactions, price catalogs, customer lists, product catalogs, and discounts.
- Provide and maintain knowledge of current motor pricing
- Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
- Recommends products to customers, based on customer's specific needs and interests.
- Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sales items
- Evaluates customer specifications ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements in accordance with industry standards.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
- Answers questions about products; prices; durability and credit forms
- Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
- Estimates delivery dates and arranges delivery schedules.
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
- Instructs customers in use of products.
- Investigates and resolves customer complaints.
- Obtains credit information on prospective customers.
- Prepares quotes, advise credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers' profitability profiles
- Reviews purchase orders for accuracy
- Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales team
- Provides support to outside sales representatives.
- Learn new procedures and product information as required
- Acts as liaison between customer and manufacturing entity for unique products and applications.
Qualifications:
- College diploma and/or equivalent sales experience in related industries
- 3-5 years experience in the field or in a related area as well as knowledge of electric motors
- Excellent customer focus skills including interpersonal and communications and listening skills.
- Good organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong computer skills, ability to work with details and solid math skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work with vendors and in a team setting
- Deadline and detail-oriented
