Player Quality Insights (PQI) is a world class team, delivering industry leading insights to create great experiences that players want to play. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will report to the PQI Labs Manager. You will be responsible for delivering content and experiences to our play testers, both in our global physical research labs and remote labs in this role. You will ensure that technical delivery is appropriate, effective, safe, and secure. Also, you will work with your team and partners to develop the systems and practices for content delivery and playtesting.

Description of Duties

  • Prioritize the player first, ensuring that content is delivered with the player community in mind while still accounting for development constraints such as timelines, platforms, and budgets.
  • Responsible for technical setup/teardown/maintenance of playtesting labs infrastructure
  • Sets and executes operational objectives for area of responsibility, in alignment with global peers.
  • Monitors Lab performance and provides necessary support and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Facilitates the development, implementation, and adherence of new test plans and procedures.
  • Identifies, documents, and analyzes process changes for increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensures strict adherence to corporate prototype security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years’ experience working directly with platforms and networks preferred (PC, Gaming Console, Mobile, Cloud). Active Directory, Desktop Support, Windows Domain infrastructure, Systems administration.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT production lifecycle stages and processes.
  • Experience excelling in a diverse & distributed team.
  • Ability to advocate for the best player principles.
  • Experience with desktop support hardware & software troubleshooting, imaging, hardware installations, LAN/WAN management, Server patching.
  • Experience with Open Broadcast Studio (OBS), creating scenes, installing peripherals within OBS.
  • Preferred experience with PC game streaming.
  • 3 or more years’ experience working directly with Virtualization, Containerization, Cloud computing (AWS preferred), VMWare ecosystems Kubernetes, or Docker.
  • Preferred experience with Python scripting, Network/Hardware monitoring, Video Capture, PARSEC.
  • Exemplary communication skills, analytical skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Understanding of test methodologies, process, and tools
