Apex Aluminum is a state-of-the-art aluminum extrusion factory located in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. With a 170,000 square foot aluminum extrusion facility and some of the most modern equipment in its industry, Apex can offer custom extrusions, mill finish aluminum and anodized aluminum to satisfy the most demanding customer and all architectural needs.
The Industrial Training Leader will facilitate and plan all training daily. The role reports to the Manager, Software Development & Employee Training and works closely with Manufacturing and Operations Management.
Important duties include overseeing and administering training strategies, role-specific onboarding, training effectiveness tracking, measurement, and evaluation via the Learning Management System (LMS).
Job Responsibilities
- Develops and improves effective manufacturing training program that articulates and adherence to standards and a continuous improvement mindset leading to operational excellence.
- Implements site-specific technical learning solution creation (SOPs, Guided Workflows, Technical Learning Aids) to assist with effective, proven and tested training program.
- Completes daily technical training on the floor to assist with the continuous learning of team members in their roles across all shifts.
- Assists with tracking, evaluating, and measuring training locally using the company’s Dept. Training Standards & Learning System tools.
- Influences others to be safety minded by operating within the systems processes which are designed with operational excellence focus.
- Partners with Human Resources leader to support New Hire Orientation/On-Boarding Training, as needed.
- Develops, builds, and maintains relationships with trainees and leaders in their role.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Technical Skills:
- Minimum five (5) years conducting/ leading/ developing training programs and experience with a variety of delivery methods (classroom, On-The-Job training, etc.).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Applied knowledge, experience and implementation of Learning Management Systems.
- Microsoft Office experience required – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Forms.
