Opportunity: One of our Plastics Manufacturing clients based out in Orangeville, ON is looking for a "Industrial Millwright" for a Contract to hire opportunity.
Job Details:
Role: Industrial Millwright
Location: Orangeville, ON
Position: 6 months Contract to hire, Onsite
Industry: Plastic Manufacturing or Any Manufacturing
Shift: 12 hr, continental days (7 am – 7 pm)
Job Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for, but not limited to the following
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment failures as well as perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems
- Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
- Motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems. Reading blueprints and schematics. Equipment installations & rigging.
- Welding & fabrication.
- Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes
- Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment, hydraulic systems and pumps promptly
- Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, and PM’s and updating the equipment databases
Qualifications:
- Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal ticket)
- 2 -3 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus
- Available and flexible to work in a fast-paced environment, be self-driven to meet or exceed targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned, unplanned, and on-call shifts
- Experience with electronics & PLCs. AC & DC motors and controls an asset.
- Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
- Physically fit & able to negotiate inclines, stairs, and ladders Able to perform physically demanding activities while working in all types of extremely hot environments, both indoors and outdoors.
- The job requires bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, and standing for long periods. Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift 40 lbs. Working in conditions may include exposure to noise, dust.
