Job position: Electrician
Job type: Perm, full-time
Shift: Continental 12 hrs (no rotation)
2nd/3rd year electrical apprentices can APPLY too!
Job Duties
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and equipment. Program, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of PLC’s
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications and schematics in order to effectively troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical control systems, working with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical devices
- Perform preventative maintenance through inspection of electrical systems, equipment and components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records. o Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Work on other electrical projects as required.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, provincial and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Certificate of Qualification as an Electrician (309A or 442A)
- An Electrical Technician - Automation Diploma
- Experience with PLC’s, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Robotics experience would be an asset
