We aim to foster inclusive work environments and sustainable career development.Role Summary: As a Safety Advisor (NCSO) for our client, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the implementation of safety protocols for a high-voltage power installation and underground utility installation project. Your role will involve conducting safety audits, providing training, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive safety programs and procedures specific to high-voltage power and underground utility installationsConduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standardsProvide safety training and guidance to employees and subcontractors, ensuring they understand and adhere to safety protocolsInvestigate and report on incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actionsMaintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training, and compliance activitiesCollaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into project planning and executionStay updated on the latest safety regulations and best practices in high-voltage and underground utility installationsPromote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among all project participantsQualifications:Certification as a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)Proven experience in high-voltage power installation and underground utility installationIn-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and utility projectsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement effective solutionsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teamsAbility to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to safety managementPreferred Experience:Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in urban environmentsPrevious involvement in projects requiring meticulous coordination of high-voltage and underground utilitiesFamiliarity with Indigenous employment initiatives and a commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive work environmentsEligibility: This position is only open to Indigenous candidates.
