The HVAC Journeyman is located in Hamilton, Ontario and requires travel to surrounding areas.RESPONSIBILITIESInstallation, identification of malfunctioning parts/equipment, repair, inspection, etc.Maintain and service various HVAC equipment such as chillers, heat pumps, steam boilers, etc.Monitor, troubleshoot, calibrate and program HVAC control systemsReplace filters and belts, update documentation related to HVAC servicesInstall new services, respond to comfort complaints, perform log readingsComplete preventive and demand maintenance tasks, work in compliance with safety regulationsCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSCommunicates EffectivelyCustomer FocusProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSSuccessful completion of a recognized HVAC and/or refrigeration certificate. Must be a Journeyperson. Must have a valid G1 gas license.WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSWorking knowledge of building services including air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical equipment controls. Full understanding of building automation system HVAC control strategies.SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTSAnalytical skills with ability to read blueprints, plans, and manualsExcellent customer service, team player, comply with company policies and standardsBending and Lifting Required; Lifting under 30 kgsProficient user of MS Office, JD Edwards, DSI platformWilling to travel, valid G driver’s license, vulnerable sector police checkPERKS
