Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking aHuman Resources/H&S Assistantto take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.
This is a contract position to cover a maternity leave.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain employee and employer confidentialityAdminister the onboarding of new hires and off-boarding of departing employeesProvide support to the HR Manager with full cycle recruitmentCoordinate training for employee and maintain training records and trackingProvide general support to employees and management as neededCarry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning etcAssist with review, creation, and editing of policy and procedure for HR and HSEComplete and/or assist with HR and HSE Investigations and Inspections as neededRecord and distribute minutes of JH&SC meetingsBe familiar Mac-Welds policies, procedures, legislation, and safety rulesOther duties as assignedQualificationsDiploma or graduate certificate in Humana Resources1-3 years of Human Resources and Health & Safety requiredProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with ADP WFN would be an assetExperience with ISO 9001:2015 would be an assetRelevant knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Labour Laws, OHS Legislation
This is a part time position working 24 hours/week (3 Days a week) in our Sarnia facility.
Salary: Starting at $20.00/hour
