Job Description

Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager works as part of the facility management team and directly oversees all areas of Human resources for the facility and manages the HR team.  We are looking for a high-energy HR professional who is looking to be a business partner and grow with the organization.

Performance Expectations

Manage and direct the activities of the HR department for the facility.

Represent management and participate actively on various joint committees to maintain positive ongoing relations between management and employees.  

Develops and implements measures to increase employee morale, motivation and satisfaction, while reducing turnover.

Coaches and consults managers and employees through the performance management process.

Develop and implement policies, programs and procedures in all areas of HR for the facility.

Establish and maintain department records, policies, procedures and reports.

Employee relations including coaching, mentoring, corrective counseling and investigations.

Annually review compensation plan to ensure internal and external equity.

Administer all benefit plans for all employees.

Review and monitor performance evaluation.

Recruit for all open positions both internally and externally to fill vacant positions to meet customer requirements.

Conduct exit interviews.

Coordinate apprenticeship and training programs.

Champion Health and Safety program

Plan and organize employee functions as required.
 

Credentials

Bachelor’s degree required in Human Resources or related area.

Five (5) to Seven (7) years of progressive Human Resource experience.

Must have proven leadership skills.

Excellent Employee Relations skills.

Human Resources certification preferred.

Previous experience in a high volume manufacturing environment is preferred.

Experience with production launches is a definite asset.
