The successful candidate will provide HR leadership and support for management and 300+ employees. What you will be doing:Develop and implement employee relations strategies and policies to promote a positive work environment and foster a culture of trust and respect, adhering to both federal and provincial regulations.Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance, support, and conflict resolution assistance to employees, union representatives, and management.Act as a member of the employer's bargaining committee, participating in collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, and the interpretation of collective agreements.Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and conflictsConduct thorough investigations into workplace issuesCollaborate with HR partners, legal counsel, and union representatives to ensure compliance with the Canada Labour Code, provincial regulations, collective agreements, and other relevant statutes.Oversee recruitment and onboarding processesManage employee performance evaluation processesDevelop and deliver training programsPartner with management to address employee performance issuesAnalyze employee feedback and engagement survey data to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and retentionWho you are:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.CPHR designation required.5+ years of progressive experience in employee relations and HR management, preferably in a federally regulated environment with exposure to provincial regulations and collective bargaining.Strong understanding of the Canada Labour Code, provincial labour laws, collective agreements, and collective bargaining processes.Demonstrated experience as a member of an employer's bargaining committee, with a track record of successful collective bargaining negotiations.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees, union representatives, and management.Proven ability to conduct thorough investigations, resolve complex employee relations issues, and implement effective solutions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software; experience with employee relations case management systems is a plus.The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive compensation and benefits package, a great work environment and an employee focused company culture.
