The Opportunity
The Human Resources Manager provides HR department oversight for all organizations within the TIPI Group of Companies. They are responsible for strategic advisement in all functions of HR and for implementing projects that contribute to the overall success of TIPI Group of Companies.
Job Duties and Tasks
Oversee the strategic and operational management of the following functions:
- Recruitment and Onboarding,
- Performance Management and Discipline,
- Training and Development,
- Pension and Benefits,
- Employee Engagement,
- Policy Development and Administration,
- Legislative Compliance.
Leadership and Advisement
- Apply organizational values to people management, advising Executive teams and Management of risks, options and acting as a strategic partner.
- Stay up to date in our jurisdictions, and implement policies, procedures and programing as required.
- Ensure HR Team meets quality standards.
- Actively pursue employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor HR Metrics for Group and individual lines of business
- Actively lead succession and workforce planning in line with organizational growth objectives
Your Skills
- High degree of business acumen, ability to see the full picture and impacts of strategic decisions.
- Thorough understanding of provincial employment standards, Human Rights, Employment Law and best HR practices.
- Knowledgeable of Indigenous Culture and Communities.
- Ability to use the utmost discretion and act in a confidential and ethical manner.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and set realistic expectations.
Your Ideal Qualifications
- You have a bachelors in either Commerce, Business Administration or Arts with a focus on Labour relations and at least 5 years experience or;
- A diploma in HR with 8 years experience.
- 2 years experience in a senior HR level role is an asset.
- A CPHR designation is an asset
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or communities.
