Our client in Waterloo Region, is looking for a Human Resources Manager with 5-10 years of experience in a Human Resources Leadership role!As the Human Resources Manager of this manufacturing facility, you will have total responsibility for all Human Resources for the entire plant and offices. You will have oversight of HR functions such as Human Resources standards and guidelines and creating programs to enable the company to meet and exceed business objectives.As the HR Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and direction and promote effective human resources solutions in the areas of benefits, administration programs, policies and best practice systems and processes.The ideal candidate possesses a combination of both strategic and hands-on/tactical HR expertise. You have experience in Health and Safety and promote a healthy, safe and environmentally responsible workplace by encouraging and involving all employees in the ownership and continuous improvement of HS&E in the workplace.Come join this established team and be the recipient of an excellent compensation package including salary between 100-115K depending on experience, a competitive benefits program as well as pension plan!Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, Human Resources Designation preferred.Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, specifically automotive is desirable.Solid understanding of all facets of HR management with the ability to persuade and influence decision makers at multiple organizational levels.Proven experience working in a matrix global organization with a strong business acumen.Working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems would be an asset.Understanding of technical concepts, and ability or willingness to learn technical skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and end-user training abilityLeadership Responsibilities:As part of the management team, contributing at an operational level by providing HR expertise that supports the business strategy and objectives through the execution of HR solutions and delivery of corporate initiatives that supports an environment with high levels of teammate engagement and commitment.Provides leadership and direction to the team by providing coaching on complex employee relations issues and developing solutions and improved teammate performance.Designs, reinforces and implements site specific HR policies, standards and procedure taking into account the organizations vision, mission and values, legislative requirements and industry best practices, notifying plant manager and functional manager of non-compliance.Track, analyze and provide continuous improvement plans with respect to HR metrics and KPI’sProvide responsible leadership and direction to create an environment that promotes an effective working relationship between employees and management.As a management rep for the union, provides firm, fair and consistent application of labour management practices to resolve issues through professional and timely solutions.Develop and implement training matrices and plans based on training needs for all teammates in conjunction with department heads per ISO 9001 requirements.Facilitate screening, testing, interviewing, selection and onboarding process for all available positions in conjunction with hiring manager while maintaining the talent poolProvides guidance to management team to ensure performance effectiveness and administers the Performance Management System.Maintains an understanding of regional salary, wage and benefit trends to ensure that Corporate programs remain competitive and compliantOversees the Total Rewards enrollment process, record keeping and materials distribution, utilizing the HRIS and other corporate approved information sourcesParticipate in the development & execution of action plans with the plant leaders and provides guidance on feedback where required including best practices and procedures.Foster effective two-way communication on a timely and consistent basis from and to all teammates.Implement and maintain all requirements for the HS&E Standards and manage teammate injury claims from initial reporting to return to workDevelop an environment that encourages all teammates to report unsafe conditions and unsafe practices to their supervisors without fear of being disciplined.If you have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the requirements above, send your resume to: jayne@grandriverpersonnel.caGrand River Personnel is committed to promoting accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities and complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and makes accommodations available for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment processes.
