Job Description

Our client, a leader in the distribution industry is looking to hire a newly created HR Manager role to support their local branches. This role will sit at the distribution facility in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada. This position is 100% onsite and serves multiple locations including Quebec city, Brantford, Milton, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Swift Current, and Langley. This position must be bilingual in both English and French languages (written and spoken).As the Human Resources Manager, you'll be an integral part of the team, supporting various locations within your assigned area. You'll engage with leaders and team members, acting as a trusted business partner. This role encompasses a wide range of HR responsibilities, from interpreting policies and procedures to managing employee relations, benefit administration, hourly recruiting, and performance management.Responsibilities:Develop a deep understanding of the company's mission, business objectives, and key initiatives.Act as an HR advisor to site leaders and employees, providing coaching, counseling, and support as needed.Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management and ensure regulatory compliance.Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.Manage day-to-day HR matters across distribution center sites and conduct HR-related investigations.Create and deliver employee engagement and retention programs.Engage with employees to foster a positive work environment.Utilize data to drive business decisions and initiatives.Maintain awareness of the business's needs and HR's role in supporting them.Be available for onsite work and periodic travel to supporting locations, approximately 20%.Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a comparable discipline.At least 5 years of related experience, including at least 3 years of HR management experience in a distribution center environment.Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).Strong understanding of labor/employment laws across multiple provinces.
