Job Description

Education:

Bachelor's degree

Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years

Tasks:

  1. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  2. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  3. Mediate labour disputes and grievances
  4. Research and prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions and salary scales
  5. Administer benefit employment equity and other human resources programs
  6. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  7. Manage training and development strategies
  8. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  9. Hire, train and supervise staff
  10. Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers
