How You’ll Make an Impact:

  1. Provide HR support to Operations
  2. Recruitment and selection of frontline employees
  3. Assist Operations with Human Resources/Labour Relations related worksite investigations
  4. Liaise with HR Manager to provide guidance on Employee/Labour Relations matters (e.g., investigation results, issues of constructive counselling, discipline, provincial/federal guidelines)
  5. Liaise with HR Manager in response to allegations of unfair treatment (Legal, Human Rights, and ESA complaints) and grievance resolution
  6. Manage employee leaves
  7. Training and onboarding of frontline employees
  8. Maintain HR and other records
  9. Contribute to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members
  10. Other office-related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  11. Live and embody Sodexo values and commitment to be an inclusive employer

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  1. University Degree or College diploma in Human Resources or a related field
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
  3. Experience in Labour Relations is an asset
  4. Experience in a unionized environment is an asset
  5. CHRP designation is an asset
  6. Experience managing attendance
  7. Previous experience in a hospitality or service provider environment is an asset
  8. Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and/or simultaneous demands
  9. Ability to develop new and maintain existing relationships with stakeholders
  10. Ability to take initiative and work independently
  11. Strong ethics and integrity
  12. Availability to work on-site 5 days/week
