Job Description

As part of the HR Leadership team, the HR Business Partner will participate in the development and execution of HR goals, strategies and priorities while supporting established client groups with Employee and Labour Relations matters. This is a senior leadership role, on site in Brampton. The ideal candidate brings 7 years of relevant HR, employee and labour relations experience primarily in a union manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Include: Provide coaching to leadership on matters related to employee and labour relations, Collective Agreement, policy and legislation interpretation and application. Act as liaison between client groups and key internal stakeholders. Facilitate the introduction of performance management, talent and coaching programs. Participate in dispute mediation and assist with determining appropriate actions. Conduct employee workplace investigations and provide recommendations for corrective action. Support Leadership in the interpretation and application of the Collective Agreement and best practices in managing a unionized team. Effectively handle employment related claims for non-union employees (Human Rights complaints, ESA violations etc). Recommend, develop and implement improvements to departmental policies and procedures. Participate in internal and external audits. Requirements: 7 years of relevant HR experience in a union manufacturing environment. Experience with Collective Agreements. Knowledge of HR related legislation including ESA, OHSA, OHRC, ROLRA. · Post secondary Degree/Diploma. CHRL/CHRP designation is an asset. Demonstrated competency with performance management, labour relations, coaching, etc. ·
