Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer or designate, the HR Assistant will work within a collaborative team environment to ensure the efficient completion of HR tasks. This position involves assisting both our local employees and those in the Temporary Foreign Worker program. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and will be responsible for administering various aspects of the employee lifecycle and assist other HR team members where needed. This position is based out of Kingsville, Ontario.Job Duties:Work directly with the HR team regarding all HR endeavours, while maintaining the confidentiality of personal employee information, company information, records, and related issues in accordance with all the applicable laws.Help with new-hire procedures: including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, supports recruitment efforts through screening and conducting interviews of potential candidates.Conduct Team Member on boarding and processes all new hire information including collection of new hire information for payroll, entering information into the HRIS system.Communication with employees about any issues, questions, and concerns. As well as posting notice of all communication throughout the facility.Administrative duties such as data entry, filing, sorting and delivery of mail, scheduling appointments, food orders, running errands etc.Assist in the bi-weekly payroll by ensuring that timecards are correct.Drive employees to appointments around Essex County, utilizing the company van.Support any other special projects the HR department needs assistance with.Requirements:Graduate in Human Resource Management program. A combination of experience and education will be considered. Willing to train the right candidate.1-2 years’ experience in a human resource roll or related rollMust be fluent in Spanish and English.Must be able to be insured on Company vehicle.Strong organizational and time management skills are required.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, discretion, sound judgement, professionalism, and diplomacy.Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office.Must be a highly motivated, service and team-oriented individual with great attention to detail.Flexibility and adaptability are essential. Not all tasks can be outlined in the job description as HR responsibilities can change frequently and vary significantly. Your Environment: Most of the day is spent in the office but occasionally you would be required to go into other parts of the facility where the temperature may vary from hot to cold.Walking, standing, sitting throughout the day.Fast-paced work environment.Full time hours, Monday-Friday – with occasional overtime as required.
