Job Summary:

The HR Manager for the Belden Americas Products Organization will be responsible for executing HR strategy in support of the business goals. This role will work with leaders and associates located in the U.S. and Canada, and the position will be based out of our Montreal Canada facility. The HR Manager will act as both a strategic partner to business leaders and a tactical partner to employees.

You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Products Organization within Belden Americas, which is a comprised of the R&D, Product Management, and Strategy and Technology functions. Expected population is roughly 130 employees (salaried).
  • Act as HR Business Partner and trusted advisor to leaders of the business. You will take the time to understand their business initiatives and opportunities, collaborating with them to creatively solve their people related challenges.
  • Guide leaders through organizational change involved in digital transformation and evolving from a products company to solutions focus.
  • Focus heavily on employee engagement, specifically around talent development and wellbeing.
  • Review functional career development tracks and propose updates for effective talent development and succession planning, ensuring we are creating a strong and well-equipped pipeline.
  • Lead employee investigations and manage any employee relations issues that arise within your work group, ensuring appropriate outcomes and follow-up.
  • Support union relations for approximately 20 unionized employees.

What you bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Proficient communication skills (verbal and written) in both French and English
  • Minimum three years of experience in an HR Generalist or Talent Management focused role
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability & desire to build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Both an analytical and creative/outside the box thinking mindset.
