Position Summary

We are looking for a People & Culture (P&C) Generalist to join our Firm. You will be an integral member of the team, reporting directly to the Manager, P&C, and supporting the VP and Coordinator to achieve strategic initiatives, department objectives and successfully meet the day-to-day P&C needs of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Facilitating full-cycle recruitment process for roles at all levels (entry-level to senior): this includes reviewing job descriptions/postings, shortlisting resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling and participating in interviews, performing reference and background checks, negotiating terms of employment with potential candidates, preparing offer letters.
  • Proactively sourcing candidates for our niche and unique industry.
  • Working closely with external recruitment agencies as necessary.
  • Managing the applicant tracking system (CATS).
  • Building a pipeline of strong, diverse candidates across various technical and non-technical roles in multiple departments and business units.
  • Collaboratively partnering with our leaders at the strategic and tactical levels for recruitment matters.
  • Building our employer brand and social media presence by actively monitoring our Glassdoor and Indeed pages.
  • Taking a lead role in recruitment-related projects and initiatives, including defining process improvements, sharing interviewing techniques, and coaching hiring leads in best practices.
  • Overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Support with the administration of employment status changes.
  • Building reports for the Manager and VP of P&C and other business units as required.
  • Responding to employee inquiries of moderate complexity regarding policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment-related legal legislation ensuring compliance.
  • Other tasks, projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a human resources generalist capacity
  • Minimum of 4 years performing full-cycle recruitment in all provinces
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple levels of an organization
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Strong command of the English Language – both written and verbal
  • Professional and effective communication skills (including telephone demeanor and face-to-face)
  • Organized with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable with technology and has an excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Ability to secure, protect, and maintain confidential information
  • Internal customer service mindset
  • SharePoint knowledge an asset
  • Diploma or degree in human resources an asset
