Job Description

Human Resources CoordinatorOur client, located in Morden, MB, stands at the forefront of the Canadian manufacturing sector, specializing in the production of goods tailored to meet the needs of the aggregate and transportation industry. They are actively seeking an experienced HR Coordinator with a strong work ethic to support in all areas of human resources. Reporting to the General Manager, while working closely with HR Consultants, the HR Coordinator will assist in the creation and implementation of HR procedures and act as the first point of contact for employee HR related inquiries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following duties & responsibilities: Duties & ResponsibilitiesBiweekly and year-end payroll processes in an accurate and timely manner;Maintains personnel files, both electronic and hard copy,;Provide support and guidance to staff and supervisors on HR-related queries and escalating conflict to the General Manager as necessary;Reports all HR metrics to management as required;Overseeing group benefits administration for employees, serving as the primary contact for employees, plan vendors, and third-party administrators;Ensures WCB injury reporting, and safe return to work processes are completed and communicated effectively;Facilitate a comprehensive orientation and onboarding program;Manage all performance appraisal documentation;Assist in the recruitment processes as required;Create staff development and training plans;Administration of all Safe Work Procedures (SWP);Participate in terminations and disciplinary meetings as required;Work closely with external HR Consultants to execute HR processes and procedures as directed by management;Monitor and approve all vacation and time off requests;other duties as assigned;Required Skills & Experience 2-5 years of related experience in human resources and/or payroll;Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.);Strong understanding of Manitoba Employment Standards legislation relating to Human Resources (labour laws and disciplinary procedures);Keen attention to detail, deadline-oriented, superior time management skills;Decision-making aptitude with strong ethics and reliability;Excellent written and oral communication skills;Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks with confidence;Previous experience using Payworks software would be an asset;Knowledgeable in computer software programs, specifically MS Word and Excel.Our Client Offers:Competitive starting salary with ongoing salary reviews;Comprehensive Benefits Package;Opportunity for career development and advancement; Company wide social events;A great work environment with a team that is passionate about producing great product with lasting results!How to Apply:If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please email your resume to Suzanne Buckley at sbuckley@fhblack.com.
