HR Coordinator, Contract

LOCATION:Innisfil, ON

WORK ENVIRONMENT: On-site, in office

TYPE:Full-time – Contract, 18 months

SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for performing a variety of functions for a +/-400 employee team spread out across Canada and the US. This is a fast-paced job that will primarily be responsible for coordinating various HR processes, such as payroll data collection, HRIS data collection and maintenance, onboarding/off boarding, fielding employee questions, employee recognition programs, prepare monthly reporting, and assist supporting HR programs and initiatives.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/ Certification:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in Human Resources Management, a related program OR equivalent experience
  • CHRP candidates are preferential

Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in an HR and/or Payroll Administrator or Coordinator position
  • Must have experience using HRIS Software – Ulti Pro preferred
  • Working knowledge of provincial and federal employment standard legislation
  • Must be advanced using MS Office Suite, with a focus on Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and execute both on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Coordinate pre-employment checks (background, drug/alcohol, driving records)
  • Conduct in person/online orientation sessions
  • Act as first point of contact with employees on HR-related requests and queries
  • Coordinate and prepare payroll forms and documentation
  • Ensure payroll changes are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Manage employee personnel files physically and/or electronically
  • Collect/enter data into HRIS and other HR systems to ensure information is up to date
  • Manage and filter the general HR communications email inbox
  • Prepare confidential and general correspondence, reports and documents
  • Plan and execute on a variety of company events and team building activities
  • Evaluate HR processes and make recommendations to Manager on opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in benefits administration, recruitment and other HR functions as required
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
