Were not just growing – were flourishing.  This is your chance to shine and strengthen all your HR skills!Tues-Sat, 8:30-4:30Job SummarySupports the agencys goals in the recruitment and retention of committed engaged employees by performing HR functions in a positive, strength-based manner.ResponsibilitiesProvide coaching and guidance to Shift Supervisors, Team Leads and Program Managers on HR services, policies and employee relations mattersIn partnership with the HR Manager, create and implement strategies and policies that support the development, engagement, and retention of employeesMonitor performance management process and provide coaching and support to Leaders Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for vacanciesImprove manager and employee performance by supporting and guiding Managers and Team Leads in understanding and interpreting policies, legislation, and regulationsEnsure WCB injury claims are filed in accordance with WCB guidelines and creating modified work plans as requiredFacilitate modified or graduated return to work programs, as required, to support employees returning from an injury or disability, whether workplace related or otherwise Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Prepare disciplinary, employment, termination, and other documents as requiredAssist employees concerning the group benefit programSupport employee wellness through implementation of wellness initiativesPrepares Statistics Canada Job Vacancy reports Maintains and updates employee files and Bamboo HR as requiredPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications Post-secondary degree in Human Resources or related area, or equivalent experienceMinimum 3+ years of progressive broad experience in Human Resources including Labour Relations, talent management, employee relations and WCB claimsExperience interpreting and adhering to a Collective Agreement is preferred Solid understanding and demonstrated working knowledge of relevant Employment, Human Rights and OH&S legislationExcellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skillsAbility to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively and efficiently with minimal supervisionAble to make sound judgments requiring confidentiality, tact and diplomacy within tight timelinesStrong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environmentProficient understanding of Microsoft Office as well as HR databases Understanding and compassion for client services providedAn understanding and commitment to the value and strength of teamworkPosition Requirements:Proof of COVID vaccinationClass 5 drivers license Able to provide a Vulnerable Sector Search, valid within the last six months, that does not contain any results material to the positionFOIP Certification (provided at orientation)“It’s your Move” training, or equivalent Ergonomics training (provided at orientation)Be able to attend meetings during the evening, early morning and weekends
