This role will play a key role in providing guidance and support on various aspects of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills, a thorough understanding of HR best practices, and a proven ability to handle all types of HR issues.Heres how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesProvide guidance to managers and employees on various aspects of HR such as, company policy and provincial legislation interpretation, performance reviews, onboarding and offboarding employees, and employee developmentResolve conflicts and provide guidance on employee relation mattersRespond to inquiries relating to benefits coverage and be the primary contact for third-party administratorsWork with marketing on internal communications relating to benefits and wellness initiativesCoordinate the leave of absence process including return-to-workAssist with the creation and implementation of basic internal training courses in partnership with subject matter expertsMaintain and communicate the company training calendarAssist with training registration, record keeping and gathering course feedbackEnsure compliance with provincial employment standards and adhere to human resources policies and proceduresUpdate and maintain the HR Information System dataContribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practicesYour experience and skillsDegree or Diploma in Human Resources Management (equivalent experience and qualifications may be considered)Minimum of 5 years experience in an HR Advisory or Generalist roleStrong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practicesExceptional customer service with a passion for learningComfortable working at all levels of an organizationExceptional organization and planning skills with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively with a strong attention to detailDemonstrated problem solving, sound judgment and business acumenAbility to work independently and as part of a team (including supporting remote client groups)Strong proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)CPHR designation an assetAbout HouleAs BCs leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
