Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Language: English Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible Minimum Education: High School Positions Available: 1 NOC Group: Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians - 22301 NOC Job Title: Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technologist Job Location(s) 110- 19289 Langley Bypass Surrey, BC V3S 6K1 Job Responsibilities: Prepare specifications, sketches and layouts for parts used in refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems Accumulate or assemble mechanical equipment or components Establish and conduct tests on complete units and their components and document the findings Compare test findings to design specifications and test objectives and make recommendations for the product or test method modifications Calculate labour expenses, equipment life, and the available space. Evaluate design drawings for new or modified tools by measuring and comparing their measurements with the original specifications Schedule and supervise the installation, inspections, and regular maintenance of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units. Assist mechanical engineers by providing technical support Requirements: A combination of a minimum one year of work experience and completion of an educational program in mechanical engineering technology is required.
