The ARM Group LLC is hiring for Health & Safety Coordinator for one of our clients in Greater Toronto Area, ON

Job Role:

As a Health & Safety Coordinator, you'll collaborate closely with management and employees at all levels, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, and local regulations. You'll assist in conducting audits, implementing corrective actions, and spearheading the development and implementation of safety management systems.


*This role does not involve managing a team


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive regulatory compliance by assisting in audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct work site audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Champion adherence to health and safety policies and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain health and safety procedures, plans, and reports.
  • Supervise first aid office operations, ensuring adequate supplies and functionality.
  • Contribute to emergency response planning and procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring environmental hazards and hazardous materials management.
  • Investigate accidents and recommend preventative measures.
  • Develop and oversee hygiene programs and safety training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective safety measures.
  • Supervise safety equipment usage and compliance.


Safety Equipment Requirement:

As a vital condition of employment, you'll be equipped with the following safety gear:

  • Safety Boots
  • Respirator (as required)
  • Earmuffs / Earplugs
  • Safety glasses
  • Helmet
  • Gloves


Experience and Skill Requirement:

  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in filling out paperwork accurately.
  • Aptitude for following departmental work instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize various hand tools effectively.
