Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, creative and highly motivated Graphic Designer to join Sinai Health’s award-winning Corporate Communications team. This position will appeal to a creative thinker seeking the opportunity to produce dynamic digital and print designs that support the strategic priorities of the organization for internal and external audiences. They will create design solutions with high visual impact for social media, corporate campaigns, web design, web banners and print.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail combined with the creativity and skills to produce visual content. They are a self-directed and driven professional who thrives on collaborating with colleagues and clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver impactful, innovative, creative digital design and print solutions.
  • Execute appropriate use of the visual identity, brand guidelines and design standards to maintain integrity across all materials and channels.
  • Develop high fidelity UI web designs for the purpose of web implementation by our developers.
  • Work closely with the digital team on end-to-end design of digital experiences, including: user flows, sketches, wireframes, designs and prototypes.
  • Ensure designs and materials are inclusive and comply with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with the Communication, Digital and Creative Services teams (including content creators, developer, production supervisor, photographer and videographer and other designers) to ensure that end results meet desired message within creative brief.
  • Bring knowledge of leading design and best practices to projects, and when advising clients and colleagues.
  • Evaluate and measure the success of your work to ensure continual adjustments and improvements are made in the way effective design is delivered.
Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Three-year diploma/degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Graphic Design, Visual Design or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in Visual Design, Digital Media, and/or Digital Arts.
  • Strong knowledge of current Adobe Creative Suite and web software.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint to create visually compelling presentation decks.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, hierarchy, typographical and layout across a range of digital and print media with the ability to visualize and implement creative concepts.
  • Demonstrate a passion for user-centric design and strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles. Proven knowledge of optimizing images, videos, documents, etc. for web, including compression.
  • Expertise taking a device agnostic approach to designing for web properties. Experience in motion graphics and building animations with Adobe After Effects an asset.
  • Passionate about latest digital and design trends and best practices.
  • Superior attention to detail with excellent project and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment.
  • Hold a sense of personal responsibility for the overall success of projects, shares credit and recognizes people for their accomplishments.
