Job Description

DESCRIPTION

Responsible for production of all creative needed throughout the agency, including promotional products, t-shirt design, ads, brochures, POS, packaging layouts and other print-related communication. This position is fast paced and will require strong time management and multi-tasking skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Some Essential Functions of this Position:

  • Produce artwork that will effectively communicate and achieve desired goals based on client’s marketing objectives.

  • Take direction from the Director of Design & Production and Sr. Graphic Designer, as well as other team members from creative and account teams.

  • Responsible for all mechanicalart details (file set to specs, formats, color seps, color proofs, file uploads). Assist in creative design work when needed.

  • Manage a wide variety of projects/demands at one time with quality execution and on time delivery.

  • Work well independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and visually. Detail oriented.

  • Participate in weekly status meetings and brainstorm sessions by contributing/generating ideas/concepts to meet client’s objectives and strategies.

  • Ensures accuracy by understanding and applying the brand guidelines, having all artwork proofread internally and following internal creative processes and acquiring necessary approvals.

  • Proven understanding of industry – processes (print, etc.) and technology.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Certification/License: (From Art Institute)

Experience Requirement:

  • Graphic Design education.

  • Less than 1-2 years of experience.

  • Experience with an ad agency, graphic design firm or consumer packaged goods company a plus.

Knowledge, Skill and AbilityRequirements:

  • Fully versed in all Adobe creative software commonly used graphics packages preferably on a MAC; such as Adobe Suite (Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator);

  • A working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook);

  • A strong knowledge of print production issues such as color reproduction theory, trapping and ink density, die lines, etc.
