Job Description

We're exploring the benefits and feasibility of sanctioned graffiti zones. As part of this pilot, we'll:

  • Study the benefits of a graffiti art wall
  • Identify the oversight and supports that are needed to make it a success
  • Consider the future viability of graffiti art walls in Vancouver

A specific goal of this pilot is to support local Indigenous graffiti artists.

This pilot is a direction from Council in response to an increase in nuisance graffiti throughout COVID-19.

What's happening Graffiti art wall at 133 West Pender St laneway

As a first step, we're partnering with artist Trey Helten and Vancouver Native Housing Society on a graffiti art wall located in the laneway of 133 West Pender St.

This graffiti art wall will be reviewed after one year to determine next steps.
