They play a critical role in shaping the company’s approach to government relations, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships. They are an industry thought leader who key notes events and executive meetings.Responsibilities:Needs Assessment:Conduct thorough assessments of government institutions’ technology needs, considering factors such as student success, research, and administrative efficiency.Strategic Planning:Develop technology roadmaps aligned with institutional objectives, emphasizing innovation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.Policy Development:Develop and maintain technology policies and strategies that align with government regulations and industry standards.Government Relations:Establish and nurture relationships with federal, state, and local government entities as well as working with our GA teams.Compliance:Ensure compliance with government regulations, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy laws.Strategic Partnerships:Identify opportunities for collaboration with government agencies, research institutions, and nonprofit organizations.Advocacy:Represent the company’s interests in legislative and regulatory discussions.Risk Assessment:Evaluate the impact of government policies on the company’s operations and technology initiatives.Market Intelligence:Stay informed about government trends, funding opportunities, and emerging technologies relevant to the public sector.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public Policy or a related field.15+ years of experience in government, technology, or strategic planning.Preferred Qualifications:Strong knowledge of government processes, regulations, and technology trends.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Creative thinking and strong collaboration skillsDemonstrated leadership skills.
