This position reports to

Global Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

• Global Procurement Strategy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of global procurement strategies, including indirect materials, services, trade, transportation, strategic sourcing, and supplier quality. • Process Improvement and Efficiency: Analyze procurement-related issues, implement solutions for effectiveness and efficiency, and establish best practices through benchmarking and surveys. • Performance Tracking and Improvement: Facilitate annual targets and scorecards with global/division Procurement Managers, ensuring continuous improvement in cost reduction, supplier quality, and delivery performance. • Supplier Management and Audits: Execute supplier audits, monitor reports, and oversee improvement activities. Implement cost, productivity, quality, delivery, and inventory improvement plans. • Training and Change Management: Identify training needs, provide training for stakeholders, and foster change management within the global organization. • Communication and Collaboration: Ensure clear communication internally and externally, support implementation of procurement activities, and lead efforts to achieve client satisfaction through effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

  • Passion for Procurement: Demonstrated passion for procurement and supply chain management with a proven track record in developing and implementing global procurement strategies.
  • Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a strong understanding of industrial markets such as manufacturing, transportation, and logistics.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Proven ability to work collaboratively across divisions and teams, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field preferred.
