Position Summary This role sits within the Technology Services Group (TSG), in which theStrategicSourcing Managerwill report to the Director of Global Sourcing and will be accountable for, but is not limited to; Developing and managing their Sourcing category strategy Leading the Strategic Sourcing process (end-to-end) Managing the contract lifecycle for various technology Vendors Fostering and managing Vendor/Client relationships Identifying new ways to deliver value-based Sourcing services(Smarter-Faster-Cheaper) Ensuring clarity of communication (written and verbal) Responsibilities Effectively manage the Sourcing lifecycle; Requirements gathering Develop relevant Sourcing strategies, that support the business needs and objectives Build and run RFx’s Lead commercial negotiations which are backed by commercial analysis to ensure fact based and informed decision making Manage the Vendor selection process, which includes; Cyber-Security Review (if applicable) Compliance Review (if applicable) Track, document, and present RFx results and recommendations for Stakeholders and Senior Leadership approval Support Vendor onboarding as needed Analyze changing conditions and perform analysis within managed commodity scope. Tactfully develop and negotiate commercial terms Identify risk and exposure within Vendor proposed terms and conditions Develop opportunities to drive cost optimization and operational efficiencies within current and new 3rd party arrangements Prioritize and assess the urgency to resolve inquiries and escalations pertaining to Vendor/Contract related matters Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 3 years degree or diploma in Business Management or related discipline, OR 7-10 years’ experience in Technology Sourcing, including but not limited to; End-to-End Sourcing Lifecycle Management (RFx) Vendor and Risk Management Data Management and Analysis Possessing a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an asset Working knowledge in the following Sourcing categories is a significant asset; Infrastructure (WAN/LAN/UPS/ Cloud/Hosting Services) Cyber-Security End-User (OEM HW and Peripherals) While working closely with the Legal team, the Sourcing Manager will analyze, identify, and negotiate 3rd party contract terms, and ensure contracts are compliant with internal policies and procedures (i.e. Finance, Risk & Internal Compliance, Cyber-Security, etc.) prior to execution Lead the RFx process and Contract Management activities through a structured and well documented approach to internal clients and Business stakeholders Must be inquisitive, and possess effective listening, comprehension and impactful communication skills (Oral and Written) Highly competent in building and presenting PowerPoint presentations to Executives Familiarity with Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) is an asset Organizational and Project Management Skills This role is based out of Brookfield Place (Toronto) and does not require any travelling Qualifications & Requirements Working understanding of the Infrastructure, Cyber-Security, and End-User categories Must have advanced skills in Excel, PowerBI, Monday.com, and PowerPoint with a high level of attention to detail Must be organized and able to juggle several projects and day-to-day tasks independently Inquisitive, motivated, confident to operate outside one’s comfort zone Possess effective listening, comprehension, and impactful communication skills Possessing a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an asset This is an in-the-office role based out of Brookfield Place (Toronto) This role does not require any travel Brookfield is committed to maintaining a Positive Work Environment that is safe and respectful; our shared success depends on it.
