Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst
Hours: 35 hours per week
Wage: up to $30/hr depending on experience
Summary of Organizational Responsibilities:
The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst will design, develop, and increase GIS and mapping capacity for the Lower Nicola Indian Band. Duties will include creating geodatabases and map products for various departments, digitizing information, downloading data, following data backup policies, researching, working with technical staff, troubleshooting problems, and performing various administrative duties.
The GIS Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, distribution, and end-user support of applications using spatial data relating to land and natural resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma, Certificate or Degree centered on GIS and Environmental
Sciences;
- 1-3 years experience producing cartographic products, working with spatial data, and
conducting spatial analyses and modelling;
