Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and energetic General Manager to join our team in our Richmond, BC centre. The General Manager embodies top level hospitality and leadership and is integral to the overall success of the entire centre. The General Manager is responsible for instilling a culture of hospitality and excellent guest service while overseeing the financial and operational success of their venue through planning and strategy, labor/scheduling, decision making, process improvement, and quality focus an efficient and profitable operation. As General Manager, you are an enthusiastic role model who builds positive relationships with your team members and promotes a positive and inclusive work environment. As a passionate team leader, you believe in the importance of training team members to ensure high standards of guest service, quality and cleanliness are achieved. Centre Manager’s manage all financial aspects of the centre and will have to balance financial success with the delivery of awesome products and experiences.We are dedicated to hiring the best to be the best! We look forward to hearing from you!What will you be doing?Establish standards for guest service within the centreDevelop operational plans and budgetsCreate sales and marketing plans in conjunction with Support Office strategiesReviewing COG’s weekly and monthly P&L statementsWork closely with other management to achieve revenue goals and meet budget standardsOrganize and coordinate all people and operationsMotivate and coach team members, team leaders and managersOversee hiring and developing the team including team leaders and managersEvaluate team performance and identifies hiring and training needsProvide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competition)Develop and assign tasks to managers and team, oversees completionProvide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shifts as appropriateWork closely with event sales manager to build revenue and repeat businessWork closely with the management team to ensure that the centre is functioning in all capacitiesWork closely with maintenance operations supervisor to ensure health of facilityEnsure adherence to all company policies and procedures including all health and safety policies and proceduresEnsure adherence and completes all company systems and checklistsCreate action plans and reports for head office managementBe respectful and with guests and fellow team membersProvide resolutions for guest and team member issuesOther duties as requiredWhat are we looking for?Proven experience as a general manager of similar roleHighly commercially savvy with ability to drive results through the teamExceptional people and guest service skillsResponsible, reliability and trustworthinessFriendly, energetic, enthusiastic, positive attitudeAbility to multitask; stays calm under pressureExcellent team leadership skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solving aptitude, an eye for detailExceptional organizational skillsStrong analytical abilitySelf starter, flexible and able to work independentlyAbility to make decisions quickly and confidently bases on company policies and practicesFlexible schedule (available days, nights, weekends, holidays)Base salary range $75,000 - $85,000 + performance based bonus plan and company benefits.If you think you have what it takes and would enjoy working in a fun, friendly, fast-paced environment - we would like to hear from you!
