Our CIO is seeking an IT General Manager to join our dynamic technology team. You will help shape and create a secure and functional IT environment for all users at GJK.

The role will require you to improve processes and keep focused on delivering to our internal customers within the business.

About the role:

  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of relevant hardware and software applications
  • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
  • Assist in the management and consolidation of IT system/hardware and processes
  • Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
  • Designing training programs and workshops for staff
  • Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
  • Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
  • Contribute to the management of annual IT budgets
  • Manage IT costs in order to ensure optimal budget allocation and cost management
  • Identify problematic areas and implement solutions in time
  • Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
  • Support the internal stakeholders to ensure operational teams have fit for purpose IT resources and tools

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant, progressive experience in technology
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology landscape and trends, modern enterprise architecture principles and software delivery frameworks
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL DBs and Windows Virtual Desktop technologies including (PaaS: SaaS: IaaS)
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge
  • Enterprise SSO Solutions
  • Previous experience leading IT teams
  • Results and goal oriented with ability to demonstrate excellent judgement, solution orientation and appropriate level of risk taking
  • Experience running mission critical 24/7 technical operations and distributed IT support & helpdesk functions
  • Ability to lead projects from start to finish, working with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum
