Burrard Acura is currently looking to fill a position of a GeneralManager.

  • Guide all salespersons/sales managers in setting theirobjectives on a long and short-range basis.
  • Direct the sales managers to set sales and grossobjectives for new vehicle salespeople.
  • Assist the Regional General Manager in forecastingcontrollable expense elements for the Variable and Fixed Department.
  • Communicate with sales managers to ensure thatdealership policies and procedures are understood.
  • Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures,and processes.
  • Review with sales managers the quarterly reports onthe gross performance of new vehicle salespeople.
  • Assist in developing programs of improvement for thesales department to reach their objectives.
  • Conduct daily and/or weekly sales training meetings asdirected by the Regional General Manager.
  • Oversee the efforts of enhancing the image of thedealership.
  • Ensure that Product Knowledge is maintained at a veryhigh level.
  • Ensure that the New Vehicle Delivery process isfollowed closely.
  • Review the handling of incoming sales calls.
  • Keep an accurate account of floor traffic.
  • Attend Managers’ meetings as required.
  • Serve as liaison with factory representatives.

All successful applicants must possess the followingqualities:

  • Minimum 5 years of experienceas a General Manager in an Automotive Dealership.
  • Superior management,leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle andresolve customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure high standards areheld for delivery of vehicles to customers.
  • Ensure that salesrepresentatives understand and follow dealership policies at all times.
  • Excellent communicationskills; ability to communicate effectively with customers; subordinatesand other management.
  • Be extremely organized.
  • Be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in a teamenvironment to achieve common goals.
  • Experience with internet andretail tools, 180 and ADP.
  • Valid VSA License isrequired.
