General Accountant Job In Mississauga

Adecco is currently seeking a skilled General Accountant for a 4-month Contract role based in Mississauga, ON. The position offers a competitive salary of $33.76 per hour and requires expertise in monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and process improvement projects.

• Pay rate: $33.76/hour.
• Location: Mississauga, ON
• Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
• Job type: 4-month contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Execute monthly journal entries according to the close schedule, incorporating both system processes and manual entries as required.
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations and provide detailed GL account inquiry with commentary and variance analysis support.

• Update process documentation and models in Excel for ongoing process improvement projects under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Accounting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounts Payable, Cash Application, and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure accurate and timely data reporting and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Experience in full-cycle accounting processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably JDE and Hyperion.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to work with large datasets.
