If all this sounds appealing, we'd love to meet you!WHAT IS THE ROLE ?Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator negotiates best prices and delivery timelines with overseas manufacturers and assigns production. The incumbent will maintain close communication to ensure that purchase orders are prepared and delivered on time and according to quality standards.HOW WILL YOU DO IT?Send tech packs, specs, actual samples/swatches/standards to factories and ensure factories have accurate and complete information for each style with no confusion. Prepare cost inquiry for packages from overseas, get initial cost and proto sample. Work with manufacturers to develop a logical time and action plan for each order and communicate regularly to ensure timelines are followed as per the agreed T&A plan. Liaise with the design department & buy team to ensure that production deadlines are met. Maintain close follow-up with samples, testing and production. Ensure quality production and troubleshoot and resolve issues when they occur. Ensure final inspections are conducted as per plan and inspections are passed before shipping of goods from factories. Work closely with traffic and shipping departments to ensure that goods are delivered to customers on time. Initiate working with new factories overseas. Ensure timely development payment to the manufacturer. Update weekly production and sampling reports. WHO YOU ARE ?Your achievements2 - 5 years experience in a product development role in the apparel industry. Solid knowledge of production process with technical knowledge of fabrication and lab testing on fabrication and garments is required. Your contributionSolid understanding of overseas manufacturer workflow. Previous experience with menswear preferred. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Knowledge of Momentis ERP system is an asset. Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities and respect deadlines. Detail-oriented and resourceful coupled with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasking to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Effective written and verbal communication skills, in English and French. Knowledge of Spanish and/or Mandarin is an asset.
