We are growing our team at Marianhill in response to the new Fixing Long-Term Care Act. We are increasing the number of staff and to assist with this growth in our organization. Therefore, we are recruiting a Full Time Assistant Director of Care.
Marianhill is a faith based, not-for-profit organization that provides long-term care, complex continuing care, community support services, palliative and hospice care services. Marianhill is accredited with Exemplary Standing.
Assistant Director of Care
The Assistant Director of Care is a member of the management team reporting directly to the Director of Care and is responsible for all aspects of nursing administrative assistance pertaining to residents and staff. Such duties are performed in accordance with Marianhill’s Mission Statement, established policies and procedures and current legislation and in a manner which respects the uniqueness, dignity, worth, self-respect, self-determination and autonomy of the client and promotes maximum independence. We are seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession, Resident/family focused and effective with communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm with shared responsibility of alternating on-call duties with other applicable nursing management.
Rate of Pay: To be discussed.
Please note proof as per Marianhill policy of required vaccinations, including but not limited to influenza, etc., is required as well as proof of a 2-Step Mantoux TB Skin Test dated within the last year with a current updated 1-Step. You will be required to provide an original, vulnerable sector criminal record check dated within the last 6 months and sign a declaration at time of hire. Education certificate, diploma or otherwise must be provided to the Employer if applicable to the position and you must participate in the N95 Mask Fit Testing Program if required.
