Location: Montreal (office attendance: 3 days per week)Years of experience: 6 to 10 years’ experience.Position DescriptionWe are looking for a strong java developer to join the PISA team and help deliver key initiatives. The applicant should be a solid Full Stack developer, with strong design and implementation fundamentals. Prior experience in finance or legal operations will be useful; however, the ability and willingness to quickly master new technical and business concepts will be considered. The applicant will be working with an energetic team of highly intellectual and creative developers who work on bleeding-edge projects using a variety of different technologies.Skills Required6 to 10 years of hands-on experience developing web applications.Should be able to write optimized, efficient, and clean code to develop web applications using HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, React, Angular.Strong Java Object-Oriented Programming and Design Pattern concepts with practical experience of leveraging the same during development.Experience with Linux, Unix, and Shell Scripting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate should be able to design and then implement solutions.Team player with strong attitude and work ethics.Strong oral and written communication skills. Candidate is expected to work with global teams and hence should be clear in both verbal and written communication.Write unit tests that exercise all major logic components of the code.Skills DesiredStrong Database skills including PL/SQL and query tuning.Experience with Spring/Hibernate.Knowledge of Layered Architecture and Component-based Architecture.Familiarity with XML-based technologies.Experience with Unix OS, Scripting, Python, or Perl.Experience in development on other application types (Web applications, batch, or streaming).Join us in Montreal, a vibrant city known for its rich culture, diverse population, and thriving tech scene.
