The position of Gaming QA Tester is a key one at TransPerfect Translations. Gaming QA Testers provide client support on challenging test problems in a dynamic and exciting environment. Gaming QA Testers are responsible for testing the next big hit game from small independent development teams all the way to AAA game titles from industry heavyweights. Gaming QA Testers are passionate about games, detail-oriented, highly proficient and can spot errors in terminology, grammar, punctuation and linguistic style in your mother tongue. Gaming QA Testers are willing to learn and take constructive feedback to deliver high quality and timely testing to help make our clients’ games great. They have a passion for excellence, are experienced gamers and want to contribute to making better games.Job Description:Execute test plans and test cases, suggest improvementsIdentify and document any functional or linguistic issues and verify fixesUse test tools and automation as requiredApply knowledge of user preferences in Target Market to influence the client’s productCollaborate with partner teams in testing the productProactively look for gaps in test coveragePerform basic configuration and setup tasks on PC, Game consoles or mobile phonesOffer constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance based on knowledge of target marketComplete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for the role and assigned by the manager/supervisorRequired skills:Native-level proficiency in Japanese as the hire will be dealing with Japanese language projectsBusiness English skillsExcellent interpersonal and written communication skillsThe ability to work well in a team environmentAttention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesThe drive, positive attitude and ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environmentA passion for gamingRequired experience:Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, or directly relevant experience1+ years of game testing experienceDesired skills and experience:Experience with Security testing/ fuzzing toolsExperience with Performance/Stress testing tools and methodologiesExperience with Accessibility testingExperience with Certification Testing and/or Lot ChecksExperience with testing tools like fiddler, netmon, etc.Experience with bug tracking systems like ADO, JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.
