The avid Hotel Toronto Vaughan Southwest is the first avid Hotel by IHG in Canada.We are seeking a motivated self-starting Sales Director who understands the value of building strong relationships in the community and takes great satisfaction in meeting the needs of that community. We are located in the ever-growing city of Vaughan Ontario and have had an outstanding first year in business.

The avid Hotel boasts the best nights sleep around.We have taken the time to find out what guests are looking for and have delivered.From the comfortable 15 inch pillowtop mattresses to the black out shades and noise reducing technology in our headboards We are serious about delivering a proper sleep experience to our guests.We offer complimentary Grab and Go breakfast and a 24-hour Bean to cup coffee station.For relaxation and personal care, we offer a heated indoor swimming pool and state of the art fitness centre.

We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar. So we’re searching for a Sales Director with a track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us fill our rooms, meeting suites and banquet halls.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Proactively managing daily sales activities to support meeting and exceeding targets

● Achieving all personal sales goals to help us maximise profitability
● Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, foodand beverage and banquet sales
● Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance
● Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and outside contacts


[requirements]

● Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent inmarketing or related fieldpreferred

● Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team

● Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required

● Must be able to commit to and follow through on a schedule of outside sales calls as required to meet targets

● Ability to work independently or in a team as required

● Must speak and write English at a professional level
