What You’ll Be Doing The ideal candidate hasDemonstrated success taking a project/program from white board to detail during intake meetingTrack record of excellent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation for solutionsStrong ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective waysRequired skills/credentials and experienceB.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related fieldVerilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, or other suitable hardware description languages5+ years of experience developing / verifying high-performance FPGA solutions, particularly for use in highly integrated (SW and HW) systems5+ years of experience with video processing5+ years of VHDL coding experience5+ years of experience designing test benches and simulations using digital simulation tools (example: Modelsim, Active-HDL) for verification of FPGA designs5+ years of proven experience with FPGA/ASIC design, and FPGA tool flow in a Linux environment, including concept development, code development, simulation, and verification on hardwareExperience with board design and layout including design toolsExperience with digital design expertise including modern microprocessors / DSPs, high speed digital logic, FPGA, memory, analog-to-digital, Board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, CAN)Documentation (Test Procedures & Reports, Interface Control Documents, ECOs)Source control systems (Git, SVN)Additional software languages (C, C++, Python)System and functional requirements generationMATLAB/SimulinkFamiliarity With:Schematic Capture and PCB LayoutDigital, Analog, and Mixed Signal DesignDesign Analysis and Simulation (WCA/WCCA, Reliability, Radiation)Linear and Switch Mode DC/DC Power ConversionSignal and Power Integrity (SI/PI)Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) What it’s like to work with usFlexible working hours.Working in our Markham, ON HQ or remote.At Nextologies, innovation drives everything we do, we believe that diversity is the heart of innovation.
