Job Description

Manufacturing unique heat resistant alloys and high nickel/chrome alloys primarily for the petrochemical industries, Kubota leads the industry in quality and advanced technology.Summary:Responsible for the leading and directing the efforts of staff and initiatives for the day-to-day foundry engineering and product design and alignment with the business objectives for Kubota Materials Canada Corporation.Major Responsibilities (but not limited to)· Ensure that engineering drawings meet Company, Customer, and Statutory requirements· Responsible for bills of materials (BOMs) and operation routings, that they are complete and accurate, focus on maximizing throughput and added value.· Provide support to manufacturing departments to improve quality, productivity and safety of the processes· Support Sales team to manage customers’ expectations vis-a-vis Company capabilities· Record, analyze and report on cost savings metrics annually· Ensure the department is represented in meetings, as required· Manage goals and objectives for Foundry Engineering to ensure alignment with the overall Vice President Operations and Engineering· Support Kubota Global Identity, with the Brand and Spirit statements of Kubota Materials Canada Corporation· Other related duties, as requiredEducation, Experience and Qualifications· Bachelor Degree in engineering, science or business, diploma in engineering technology will be considered based on experience· Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, especially of metallurgy, casting, machining and welding· Demonstrable knowledge of pressure codes, especially ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and B31.3 Process Piping· Prior experience with ERP software, demonstrating thorough understanding of resource planning logistics transactions, inventory control, and job costing.· Experience supervising a team· Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, AutoDesk (AutoCAD and Inventory)· Strong attention to detail and ability to organize both personal daily work and order requirements for KMC as a wholeWe thank all applicants for their interest in Kubota Materials, however, only those under consideration will be contacted.Kubota Materials Canada Corporation is an equal opportunity employer which considers all qualified applicants for employment without regards to race, colour, creed, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, disability.
