Job Description
Apply theory and principles of civil engineering in planning, designing, and laying out Formwork and Shoring (Falsework) based on inventory, schedule, cost and customer preference under direction of Sales & Engineering management.Ability to function under the pressure of time constraints and cotemporaneous multiple projects. Accuracy and attention to detail are vital aptitudes.Duties and responsabilitiesGain an expert-level technical understanding of ULMA’s wide range of products.Develop knowledge of, and competency in application of all relevant codes and standards governing the design and use of forming and shoring equipment in Canada.Have an advanced understanding of AutoCAD and Revit to produce accurate drawings and material lists in a timely manner. Continuously develop ability in both 2D and 3D design approaches.Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities.Perform calculations to validate induced loads imposed on equipment during operation.Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements.Confer with supervisor and/or sales personnel to determine project details such as plan preparation, acceptance testing, and evaluation of field conditions.Develop plans and estimate costs for installation of systems, utilization of facilities, or construction of structures.Experience, education, skills and abilitiesRequirements:5+ years’ experience in formwork designAbility to read/write/communicate in English at a business and technical levelSpanish Speaking, an asset but not mandatoryAbility to work in a deadline driven environmentPermanent resident living in CanadaJob Type: Full-timeCompany eventsDental careExtended health careOn-site parkingWellness programSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Comply with COVID-19 Company Plan.Formwork DesignerApply for this positionPlease fill in the form if you are interested on applying for this job.
